Sprint and Icop’s new “community surveillance system”
From the Kansas City Star article:
A surveillance system designed to give police an inside view during a hostage crisis or other emergency was unveiled today by Sprint and Lenexa-based Icop Digital.
The system, called the Icop Solution, uses the Sprint wireless network and surveillance cameras designed by ICop to allow police to see inside a school, bank or community facility equipped with the system.
Icop executives said the system would allow police to trigger the cameras during an emergency, sending video and audio from inside a building to police headquarters, to a command center or even to individual police cars.
